ABOUT THE RACE
Venue:
Start and finish is at the main entrance of the reserve, opposite the Southport Airfield, on Shelter Road (Koala Trail).
Starting Time:
11.2km - 07:00am 4.8km - 07:15am
The cut-off for both distances will be at 09:30am (This is when the public normally starts to arrive, therefore we would like to be finished by then).
Registration:
Opens at 06:20am - Each runner will receive their number/bib and a branded event multifunctional seamless head/neck tube (Buff ~ 50+ SPF Protection).
Finish:
At the finish you will receive something sweet and something cold.
Prizes:
Like previous events there is always pre-race freebeez available (stationery, sunnies, socks, confectionery, IT goodies, eg.)
Interventional Pain Gold Coast (IPGC) is sponsoring $500.00 for prize money, and we also offer free entries to future event(s).
First Aid:

ABOUT THE ROUTE
This event comprise of a 11.2km and 4.8km run through the beautiful Coombabah Lakes Conservation Area. Both routes consist of a single loop thought the reserve , with a water/refreshment station at 1.5 km (4.8km) and 4.3km (11.2km), and a water/refreshment station at 7.0 km for the 11.2km.
11.2km - Route is indicated in pink on the map. 4.8km - Route is indicated in blue dots on the map.
First water station is at 1.5km for the 4.8km route and 4.3km for the 11.2km.
Second water station at 7.0km
For the long run we suggest carrying a water bottle.

ABOUT US
We are runners and local residents from Coombabah, and we spend a lot of time running/biking in the Coombabah Lake Conservation Area (CLCA).
Coombabah wetlands is part of the internationally significant Southern Moreton Bay Marine Park and is registered in the Ramsar Convention on wetlands of international importance.
To keep the experience as pristine as possible, we endeavour to limit the entries, and keep the numbers as small and personal as possible.
We love animals, and in future events we would like to partner up and support local animal welfare organisations.
